Money Mark - Mark's Keyboard Repair

Mark's Keyboard Repair is an album by Money Mark (Mark Ramos Nishita) released on the Mo Wax label in 1995. The album is a series of low key keyboard-driven lounge and funk songs. Mark only sings on a few of the records. The music has a demo-ish quality which is matched by Marks use of vintage keyboards and beatbox-like drum loops.

The full length version is actually a composite of the Performing Chicken EP, with the additional tracks from the UK release (in 1995) of Mark's Keyboard Repair, and the tracks from the Third Version EP. Tracks 1-11 are from the 1994 EP, 12-20 from the 1995 release, and 21-30 from the 1996 release. UK versions do not include the songs from the Third Version EP.

Check out these stylized beats and grooves, which bring back memories of sitting on the stoop in the summertime with a cold one in my hand.

Tunes of note: Pretty Pain, That's For Sure, Don't Miss the Boat, Slow Flames, and The Grade
